Topsail Island Spring Break

I'm a wife to a High School teacher so I still get to enjoy spring break. We decided that we needed a getaway. So we were off to Topsail Island, North Carolina. We looked at the forecast when we booked our stay and when we got there it was a different story. Let's just say we got what we paid for and it was cheap! We had a beach front view room and were on the beach in seconds. The Ocean looked so beautiful from our room and we couldn't wait to get in. Ha what we thought would be nice warm weekend, well we were so wrong. It was a chili 50 degrees with wind that could carry our little Caden away from us. We didn't let that get us down. We enjoyed being inside, ate a lot and just relaxed.

We also Invited Heidi and Autumn to come visit us. They Came up on Sunday and spent the day with us and went back the next day. They kept us busy! We took a walk on the beach and again we all got blown away. Later that night Heidi and Autumn got sick with what turned out to be food poisoning from the day before. We didn't know what to do to help. Poor little Autumn was a wreck. She would fall asleep and then all of a sudden start throwing up. So as much as we could do we decided to help Heidi and take care of Autumn. Every time we heard the slightest bit of noise we were up and at her side. The best part and the sweetest thing was that when she would wake up and we were holding her she would just fall asleep in our arms. We hope our niece knows we love her and that we would do that for her at any time. I have a thing where my family members just throw up on me so this one time didn't matter at all because i'm so used to it. (Katherine do you remember that?)

By the last day we were so ready to go home. The heater didn't work in the night, it was too cold. We knew our Vacation was coming to an end. We were so excited to be home in our own home and relax their. We enjoyed our trip to the beach. Next time we will plan things a little different. Looking into things like the weather, where we stay, how old Caden and our next children will be.
