Ready...Set....GO

It seems like the past 2 months have been 3 days. Everything has happened so fast and time seems to be in no hurry to slow down. Within the past 2 months our lives have changed tremendously. Caden has gone from a happy and smiling little baby, to an active, mobile, and determined little boy. That's right, Caden has learned to crawl. For a while we thought that he was going to skip the whole crawling thing but he figured it out. It was only the first day or two that he was going at a slow actual "crawl". Once he got the hang of it, he thought to himself, "Wait a minute... I can go fast!" And he has been off to the races ever since.

Caden was absolutely fascinated with the Christmas tree and loved to reach for the ornaments and try to pull them off the tree to eat them. It was quite the adventure just to keep him away from the tree. He didn't see the presents under the tree as gifts, but blocks to help him reach higher up the tree branches. Caden enjoyed very much his first christmas and even met Santa for the first time. He even smiled for his picture too!

We flew out to Utah for the Christmas break to visit family and boy was it much colder then NC. It was a nice relaxing trip and a chance to get-a-way from the daily grind of work. Caden was fascinated by his grandma and his uncles in Utah. We all had a great time and recieved some very generous gifts for our family. We are very grateful for our family in Utah that help take care of us.
(Caden was a big boy on the plane)
Caden is growing up so fast. He is truly becoming more and more determined and is learning very fast. He loves to eat and gets hungry whenever he sees mommy and daddy eating and feels that he should get a bite too. Caden is a very messy eater too, so we give him a bath. He loves water. Bath time is his favorite. By now he is pulling himself up on anything and everything. He is not even 9 months old yet and he is already a climber. He keeps us on our toes. He wants so desperately to feed himself, which he does a decent job. He makes a big ol mess, but we think he does that on purpose to just get back in the tub.... Smart boy!

(I tricked them again....works everytime!)
